recKids Before & After School Care

We are proud to be a child care partner for Warwick School District and Manheim Central School District families! recKids programs provide before/after school care, summer care, and school cancellation/school holiday care.  Our experienced and dedicated staff invite families to join recKids Child Care!

Please read and review the attached information regarding COVID-19 changes to our before and after school recKids care programs serving Lititz/Warwick families and children:

Take note:

• Children and staff are required to wear facecoverings, unless activity (ie snack time) prevents use of a mask or shield
• Parents/Guardians will not be entering the school buildings
• Child COVID-19 health assessment screening to be done by parents/guardians
• Changes to guidelines for before and after school care will be posted here and communicated to parents

Who?  recKids child care programs serve students from Warwick and Manheim Central School Districts in grades K-6.  recKids is a state licensed program and qualifying ELRC (formerly CCIS) families are welcome!

Where? 

• Before & After School Care at Manheim Central and Warwick Elementary School buildings 
• Warwick OKC (Older Kids Club) After School Care Grades 4-6 at Lititz recCenter 
• Busing is provided between schools by Manheim Central and Warwick School Districts

 When? 

• • Before School Care starting at 6:40 am for Warwick Elem Schools (breakfast is included in weekly fee)
  • After School Care programs at Warwick and Manheim Central elementary schools and at Lititz recCenter (OKC) are open until 6:00 pm
  • Flexible Part-time and Full-time options for care
  • Special/Snowy Day Care available for school holidays or weather closings at Lititz recCenter for grades K- 6.
  • Lititz recCenter offers summer child care for kids entering Kindergarten – entering grade 7

What?

• • Homework time, healthy snack options, game/arts/crafts time, music, and gross motor “play” time
  • Access to gymnasiums and playgrounds
  • Summer recKids includes swimming, trips to local parks, and field trip options!

How?   Pre-Registration is required for recKids programs (before & after school care, summer care, and special day/snowy day camps) and begins in March each year.   Registration is on-going as spaces in programs remain available.  Programs are capped according to PA DHS child/staff ratios.

recKids Inclement Weather Policy

Parents, please note that Warwick and Baron recKids program will follow the school district’s delay and closing schedules for before and after school care:

2 hour delay: Before School Care in Elementary Schools will be provided, but delayed to fit the school schedule
School District Closing: recKids Snowy Day Camp  or Special Day Camp is available to registered students grades K-6 at Lititz recCenter 7 am – 6:00 pm
Early Dismissal: No After School recKids Care at any sites – students will be bused home or go to alternate care designated by parents.
