Aquatics


Lifeguards

Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by monitoring, preventing and responding to emergencies. Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations. Part-time flexible scheduling early morning, daytime, evening, weekends with year-round employment potential.  Indoor winter guard positions at two pools.  Summer indoor and outdoor positions available.  Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid required, ages 15+.

Swim Lesson Instructors

Responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting successful swim lessons. Ability to adapt teaching approaches to the age, experience and ability of participants so they can meet course objectives. recKids Child Care


Lead Teacher / After School Group Supervisor

Part-time school year work in our licensed after school programs 2-6 pm M-F based in Warwick schools and at Lititz recCenter.

Group Supervisors actively lead programs and activities with children in grades K-3 and 4-6, ensuring safety and positive learning, growth, and development.  Supervise and schedule program staff, communicate with families, adhere to state regulations, plan and develop activities, supervise children indoors and outdoors and on off-site trips. Strong communication and organization skills.  Ability to engage with children in group setting and monitor their behaviors and progress in social and motor skills.

Per PA DHS, candidates must meet min requirements for group supervisors of Assoc degree in early childhood or elem education, or related field, with appropriate coursework and experience working with children.  Bachelors preferred. Assistant Teachers / After School Assistant Group Supervisors

Part-time schedules 15-20 hours per week during the school year M-F 2 – 6 pm.  

Seeking child care assistants to provide care for children in grades K-3 and 4-6 in a licensed program.  Candidates are responsible for the safety, well-being and enrichment of the children enrolled in the program. Some responsibilities include monitoring daily attendance; assisting children in program activities; serving snacks; accompanying children to outdoors play; and set up and tear down, and cleaning at site.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma or general educational development certificate and 2500 hours experience with children.  Applicants with CDA, Assoc, or Bachelors are preferred.  **College students enrolled in qualified degree programs are eligible candidates.** Background checks required to be complete upon hire. kidZone Babysitting Staff

Part-time morning, evening, Sat shifts available

Seeking candidates ages 16+ to provide direct care for children ages infant to age 10 in a group babysitting area at Lititz recCenter.  Supervise and engage in play and activities, monitor interactions, ensure safety of children.  Observe all rules and guidelines for safe and age-appropriate activity.

Member Services


Membership Coordinator – Full Time

Lititz recCenter is seeking a Membership Coordinator to join our Member Services team.  This key member of our team must be dedicated to excellence in customer service, facilitating staff teams, delivering training, and communicating with staff, Members and the general public.

Responsibilities include both interpersonal and technology-based work across all Lititz recCenter facilities.  At times, work will be performed in a high-paced, multitasking environment. This includes supervising, scheduling, and training member services staff; interacting with Members via phone, email, and in person; coordinating with other staff teams and departments; data entry, management, and reporting, membership billing, use of online scheduling, email, phone, and other communications.

Membership Coordinator reports to the Membership Director and supervises the Lititz Springs Pool Front Desk Supervisor. Duties will include office work and front desk duties, assistance with events, facility opening and closing, attention to lobby activity, etc.  Occasionally duties will be performed outdoors (Lititz Springs Pool or special events). Candidates must have experience and strong skills in office administration, staff and customer relations, computer proficiency (Office Suite) and database management. Experience in billing functions and cash management is also preferred.  Supervisory experience is a must.  Candidates must be able to sit/stand comfortably for extended periods of time, use multiple communication methods and technologies, and use a computer screen for long periods.

Work is primarily based but not exclusive to Lititz recCenter (may include recROC or Lititz Springs Pool). Schedule is full time, primarily daytime M-F, but will also requires occasional weeknights, early mornings, and weekends.  Seasonal shifts in schedule are likely.  Position is flexible to provide substitute coverage within the department as needed.

Member Services Manager – Full Time

Lititz recCenter is seeking a Member Services Manager to join our Member Services team.  This key member of our team must be dedicated to excellence in customer support and experiences, facilitating and leading teams of employees, data integrity, and coordination of large amounts of information.

Responsibilities will prioritize interactions with Members, the general public, and staff.  Training employees, communicating with employees and Members, providing direct customer service. Technology-based support work will include data entry, management, and reports, online scheduling, email, and other communications.  The Manager will also be responsible for facility opening/closing on occasion, and general lobby function oversight.

The Member Services Manager reports to the Membership Director and will supervise, schedule, and train Member Services/Front Desk staff and oversee day-to-day front desk operations.  This position will also support department billing and membership processes.  Candidates must have strong communication and organization skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, computer knowledge and proficiency, database experience, and an affinity for engaging with others in a positive manner.  Candidates must be able to sit/stand comfortably for extended periods of time, use multiple communication methods and technologies, and use a computer screen for long periods.

Programs


Youth Programs & Sports Instructors

Bring your enthusiasm for sports and competitive spirit to the courts and gyms at Lititz recCenter to introduce kids ages 3-12 to the fundamentals and “fun” in sports!  Evening schedules for all programs.  Preschool level half-pint sports; fundamentals of youth baseball, soccer, and hockey; or recWarriors obstacles and challenges.  Build a schedule to fit your interests and needs – work 2 hours or 15 hours a week.  Additional hours are possible with recZone and gym monitor evening hours.

Candidates must have well-developed sports skills and knowledge of general sports rules of play, etc.  Experience working with children is a must as a coach, instructor, or assistant. Preferred ages 18+.  Seasonal and year-round work options. Clearances required upon hire.  Paid FirstAid/CPR training provided upon hire.

Gym and recZone Monitors – Part Time

Multiple positions open to monitor the gym and recZone areas afterschool and evenings (weekdays and Saturday shifts available).  Work entails monitoring activity, engaging youth in appropriate activity, and enforcing Lititz recCenter rules and guidelines. Building Custodian – PT

Lititz recCenter is seeking a custodian to join our facility maintenance staff and provide high quality service to keep our spaces safe and looking like new.  Candidates must have attention to detail, enjoy a wide range of tasks, and appreciate the demand for high levels of service during peak facility hours.  Understanding of safe use of products and use of standard custodial supplies and equipment is a must.

Work schedules are flexible but require weeknight and weekend shifts between 5 am and 9 pm.  Approx. 10-15 hours per week.  Indoor areas for custodial work include fitness center, gymnasiums, indoor pools, locker rooms, restrooms, and child care areas.  Lifting, standing, walking, operating and moving cleaning equipment, lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs is necessary to perform tasks.

Free employee membership at Lititz recCenter and required FirstAid/CPR training is paid.  Clearances are required upon hire.  Ages 18+. Previous experience in recreation, fitness, or education facility maintenance is a plus.
