Aquatics


Aquatic Fitness Instructor – IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE!

Seeking a part-time instructor to offer additional classes in our dynamic aquatic fitness weekly schedule.  Classes are offered indoors in our spectacular Main Pool (deep) and Splash Pool (shallow) on Mon-Fri mornings.  Instruct a minimum of 2 class sessions per week year-round.  Bring your own fitness passion to start a new class, or instruct a favorite class to add variety to our schedule and engage Members and guests.

Additional work hours are available for instructors who substitute and/or conduct swimming lessons and/or lifeguard.  Fitness certifications are not required, but prior water aerobics/fitness experience is preferred.  Clearances required upon hire.  Training in FirstAid/CPR is provided upon hire.

Aquatics Coordinator – Full Time

Seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to provide support in all aspects of the aquatics recreation and fitness department. Primary duties will focus on swimming lessons, lifeguarding, and aquatic fitness at Lititz recCenter aquatic facilities (indoor and outdoor pools).  35 – 40 hours per week includes daytime, evening and weekend shifts year-round.

The Coordinator will report to the Aquatics Director.  Daily duties will include swimming lesson instruction and lifeguarding, and aquatic fitness instruction as needed. Duties may also include office-based work to support scheduling utilizing shift planning software. The Coordinator will assist the AQ Director to recruit, train, and supervise staff.

At a minimum, candidates must have 2 years prior experience in lifeguarding and have or renew lifeguard certification upon hire, and have 2 years instructor/coach experience and water safety instructor certification or equivalent.  Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform water rescue and in-water instruction in shallow and deep water is necessary.  Strong organizational and communication skills are desired. Proficiency in general computer use is required.  Clearances are required upon hire.

Lifeguards

Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by monitoring, preventing and responding to emergencies. Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations. Part-time flexible scheduling early morning, daytime, evening, weekends with year-round employment potential.  Indoor winter guard positions at two pools.  Summer indoor and outdoor positions available.  Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid required, ages 15+.

recKids Child Care


recKids Administrative Assistant – FT
Full-time, Immediate Opening!

The recKids Child Care program at Lititz recCenter is seeking a focused but flexible staff member to serve full-time in a blended role as an administrative assistant for our Children Service Department. and as an Assistant Group Supervisor or substitute in our licensed before and after school programs.  

35-40 hours per week will consist of work in our Lititz childcare sites (location may vary) and work in our office based at Lititz recCenter.  Daily schedule will have hours between 6:30 am and 6 pm based on the needs of the program.  Group Supervisors are responsible for direct care of children, coordination with site assistant staff, developing schedules and plans, assessing students, communication with families, etc.   Office duties will include assistance with enrollment and child files, billing, scheduling training, coordination with ERLC, etc.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, a strong communicator, and have attention to detail.  Experience working with children is a must, and the candidate will meet all credentials for PA DHS Assistant Group Supervisor.  CDA or Assoc degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred.  Experience in administration/office support, billing, and/or HR is a plus.  A working knowledge of PA DHS regulations and protocols is also beneficial. **College students pursuing a degree in a relevant field may be qualified.** Clearances including FBI fingerprinting are required upon hire along with FirstAid/CPR/AED training.

Lead Teacher / After School Group Supervisor
recKids Lititz Elementary and Bonfield Elementary and Lititz recCenter

Part-time school year work in our licensed after school programs 2-6 pm M-F based in Warwick schools and at Lititz recCenter.

Group Supervisors actively lead programs and activities with children in grades K-3 and 4-6, ensuring safety and positive learning, growth, and development.  Supervise and schedule program staff, communicate with families, adhere to state regulations, plan and develop activities, supervise children indoors and outdoors and on off-site trips. Strong communication and organization skills.  Ability to engage with children in group setting and monitor their behaviors and progress in social and motor skills.

Per PA DHS, candidates must meet min requirements for group supervisors of Assoc degree in early childhood or elem education, or related field, with appropriate coursework and experience working with children.  Bachelors preferred. Part-time schedules 15-20 hours per week during the school year M-F 2 – 6 pm.  

Seeking child care assistants to provide care for children in grades K-3 and 4-6 in a licensed program.  Candidates are responsible for the safety, well-being and enrichment of the children enrolled in the program. Some responsibilities include monitoring daily attendance; assisting children in program activities; serving snacks; accompanying children to outdoors play; and set up and tear down, and cleaning at site.

kidZone Babysitting Staff

Certified Personal Trainer – Fitness Center Instructor Part-time

Lititz recCenter Fitness Department is seeking highly motivated, friendly, experienced certified personal trainers to join our team.  Trainers work with our general population of teens, adults, and seniors of all fitness abilities.  In addition to planning and conducting customized individual training sessions, trainers will also provide support with fitness center instructor rotations to welcome members, provide orientations, direct safe use of equipment or stations.

Minimum 8 hrs per week of fitness center instruction in addition to flexible personal training by appointment in 30 min or 1 hr sessions.  Fitness center hours are daily between 5 am and 9 pm.

Customer Service Representative: Lititz recCenter

Our Customer Service Staff is responsible for providing quality member and guest service while actively promoting the LrC, membership, programs, and special events. This includes greeting all members and guests, answering phone calls, assisting with questions, and charging for services.  Computer skills and experience required, training provided in Member Services database.  Positive attitude and teamwork is a must.  Multi-tasking in a busy environment will be required.  Part-time shifts 15-20 hours per week INCLUDING SOME WEEKENDS/EVENINGS are available.  Min HS diploma with customer services skills and experience.

 

Customer Service Representative: recROC

Not just a desk job at recROC!  Greet members and guests at our niche recreation facility on the Rock Lititz Campus.  Answer phones, handle safety waivers, register folks for events and programs, process memberships, provide quick tours of recROC.  Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.  Competent use of computer and phone systems.  Previous customer service, bouldering, training, fitness, or other recreation experience and interest is a plus.  Ages 18+, min HS diploma.  Part-time shifts day, evening, weekend available.  Free memberships to recROC or Lititz recCenter as an employee perk!


Programs


Youth Programs & Sports Instructors

Bring your enthusiasm for sports and competitive spirit to the courts and gyms at Lititz recCenter to introduce kids ages 3-12 to the fundamentals and “fun” in sports!  Evening schedules for all programs.  Preschool level half-pint sports; fundamentals of youth baseball, soccer, and hockey; or recWarriors obstacles and challenges.  Build a schedule to fit your interests and needs – work 2 hours or 15 hours a week.  Additional hours are possible with recZone and gym monitor evening hours.

Candidates must have well-developed sports skills and knowledge of general sports rules of play, etc.  Experience working with children is a must as a coach, instructor, or assistant. Preferred ages 18+.  Seasonal and year-round work options. Clearances required upon hire.  Paid FirstAid/CPR training provided upon hire.

Gym and recZone Monitors – Part Time

Multiple positions open to monitor the gym and recZone areas afterschool and evenings (weekdays and Saturday shifts available).  Work entails monitoring activity, engaging youth in appropriate activity, and enforcing Lititz recCenter rules and guidelines. Building Custodian – PT

Lititz recCenter is seeking a custodian to join our facility maintenance staff and provide high quality service to keep our spaces safe and looking like new.  Candidates must have attention to detail, enjoy a wide range of tasks, and appreciate the demand for high levels of service during peak facility hours.  Understanding of safe use of products and use of standard custodial supplies and equipment is a must.

Work schedules are flexible but require weeknight and weekend shifts between 5 am and 9 pm.  Approx. 10-15 hours per week.  Indoor areas for custodial work include fitness center, gymnasiums, indoor pools, locker rooms, restrooms, and child care areas.  Lifting, standing, walking, operating and moving cleaning equipment, lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs is necessary to perform tasks.

Free employee membership at Lititz recCenter and required FirstAid/CPR training is paid.  Clearances are required upon hire.  Ages 18+. Previous experience in recreation, fitness, or education facility maintenance is a plus.
