The mission of Lititz recCenter, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is to enrich the lives of the community by providing exceptional programs and facilities that promote the participation of individuals, families, businesses and groups from all backgrounds.
Lititz businessman Ralph Spacht donated a warehouse to our community in 1944 to welcome home young women and men returning from service in WWII. They socialized and danced through the 40’s and 50’s at the “Lititz Recreation Center.”
The building grew old, but the vision for bringing community members together continued decades later, through the 1960’s and 70’s at a new building alongside Lititz Springs Park, and then to the top of the hill with a brand-new “Lititz Community Center” dedicated in the 1980’s.
A new century brought renewed interest and investment in Lititz’s recreation programs and facilities. The “Lititz Community Center” footprint expanded and “Lititz recCenter” emerged as a state-of-the-art full-service recreation facility serving nearly 8,000 members.
We are proud of our history and eager to grow recreational opportunities for our region into another century! Join us!
