recKids Child Care


Lead Teachers / Group Supervisors:  Before & Afterschool

Group Supervisors actively lead programs and activities with children in grades K-3 and 4-6 ensuring safety and positive learning, growth, and development.  Supervise and schedule program staff, communicate with families, adhere to state regulations, plan and develop activities, supervise children indoors and outdoors during play, learning, and social activities. Strong communication and organization skills.  Ability to engage with children in group setting and monitor their behaviors and progress in social and motor skills.  Requires ability to sit, stand, walk, give verbal instructions, communicate in writing, operate a phone and radio, respond appropriately to emergencies, and carry up to 20 lbs.

Part-time weekly shifts Mon – Fri of 15 – 30 hours per week late August through early June.  Work is based at Lititz recCenter or in Warwick Elementary Schools. Flexible weekly schedules for 6:30am-8 am and/or 2 pm – 6 pm.

Per PA DHS, candidates must meet min requirements for group supervisors of Assoc degree in early childhood or elem education, or related field, with appropriate coursework and experience working with children.  Bachelors preferred. Knowledge of PA DHS regulations and protocols is beneficial.  **College students enrolled in qualified degree programs are eligible candidates.** Background checks and clearances required upon hire. Physical and TB test required.  Mandatory paid training includes FirstAid/CPR.

Qualified candidates have potential for Full-time position, summer and/or school year, within the program.

 

Assistant Teachers / Assistant Group Supervisors

Min HS diploma with experience working with children. Assist with direct care and safety of children, coordinating and supervising activities, arrival and departure, indoor and outdoor play. After School shift: 2:30 pm – 6 pm at Lititz recCenter and Warwick Elementary Schools. Hours available Mon-Fri total 15-25 hours.

Flexible work options working with school-age children in grades K-6 after school at Lititz recCenter and at Warwick Elementary school locations.

Lititz recKids is a licensed child care provider serving over 100 families with preschool, before and after school care, and summer camps.

Part-time flexible schedules mid August to June. Free employee membership at Lititz recCenter, and paid training for FirstAid/CPR and required professional annual development. Clearances required upon hire – PA Criminal, Child Abuse, FBI, and NSOR.

KidZone Babysitting Staff

Part-time morning, evening, Sat shifts available

Seeking candidates ages 16+ to provide direct care for children ages infant to age 10 in a group babysitting area at Lititz recCenter.  Supervise and engage in play and activities, monitor interactions, ensure safety of children.  Observe all rules and guidelines for safe and age-appropriate activity.

Position Title: Lead Custodian
Reports To: Property Director

Position Summary:

Lead Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment across our facility. This hands-on leadership role oversees the custodial team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and operational excellence. The Lead Custodian collaborates closely with the Property Director to support daily operations and contribute to long-term facility goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership & Oversight
  • Assign daily cleaning tasks and routes to custodial staff.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for new hires and support ongoing development.
  • Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and uphold cleaning standards.
  • Maintain accurate timesheets and assist with scheduling and coverage needs.
  1. Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness
  • Perform routine cleaning: disinfecting surfaces, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waste disposal.
  • Deep-clean high-traffic areas including restrooms, locker rooms, stairwells, fitness centers, and sports gyms.
  • Replenish consumables such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, pressure washers).
  • Respond promptly and safely to spills, biohazards, and special cleaning requests.
  • Conduct minor building maintenance and basic repairs as needed.
  1. Logistics & Inventory Management
  • Monitor usage of cleaning supplies and initiate restocking orders.
  • Receive supply deliveries and maintain organized custodial storage areas.
  • Set up rooms for events, including furniture arrangement and post-event cleanup.
  1. Quality Control & Safety
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets cleanliness and health standards.
  • Report facility issues such as broken fixtures, plumbing leaks, and safety hazards.
  • Ensure proper chemical usage and equipment handling in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety logs; complete incident reports as necessary.
  1. Collaboration & Communication
  • Coordinate cleaning schedules and event support with various departments.
  • Act as the liaison between custodial staff and facility management.
  • Maintain clear documentation of work orders, shift summaries, and team updates.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; custodial or maintenance certifications a plus.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of custodial experience, including team leadership preferred.
  • Familiarity with commercial cleaning procedures, tools, and cleaning agents.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by monitoring, preventing and responding to emergencies. Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
