Join us for our final two exciting events at the Lititz recCenter! It’s a perfect chance for you and your children to challenge yourselves and have fun in a vibrant community setting.
Pretzel Twist 5K & Kids Run
Lace up your running shoes for the Pretzel Twist 5K & Kids Run on September 20, where runners of all ages can enjoy a scenic course through Lititz and experience the joy of crossing the finish line in this fast and accurate course starting at the Lititz recCenter. Proceeds benefit our LrC youth programs. The event kicks off on Saturday, September 20th, at 8am, with goodie bag pick up and check-in from 7–7:45am.
Young runners can participate in a 1-mile Kids Run, beginning at 7:45am before the main race, and those registered by September 1st are guaranteed a Pretzel Twist t-shirt.
Don’t miss the New Team Challenge—gather your group, club, or worksite to compete for the most participants or fastest team. Facilities, including showers and restrooms, are available at the Lititz Springs Pool.
Youth Triathlon
The Lititz recCenter is excited to host the 19th Annual Youth Triathlon on Friday, October 3rd, starting at 5:00 pm for children ages 5-12. This fun, noncompetitive event will challenge young athletes in swimming, biking, and running.
- Participants need to bring a swimsuit, towel, running shoes, bike, and helmet, as these are required for each section.
- Check-in according to age group and completing a bike safety check between 3:45-4:45 pm.
- Participants will have their entry numbers marked for timing.
- The event will begin in our indoor pool, with varying swim, bike outside in the parking lot, and run in the lower field. All distances will be based on age group.
Pre-register here by September 20th for $25 to receive a discount, a T-shirt and a goodie bag. The fee increases to $30 afterward, with limited availability of extras. Same-day registration is available from 3:45-4:45 pm. The triathlon concludes around 6:00 pm. For additional details, contact Alan at 717-626-5096 ext. 225.
