Lititz Springs Pool – Safety Monitors
Provide leadership to promote safety and at Lititz recCenter’s outdoor community pool facility. Engage positively with pool visitors and coordinate with pool staff to educate, inform, and enforce essential safety guidelines. Perform visual inspections, communicate directly with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, provide safety assistance as needed, resolve conflicts with maturity and respect, coordinate incident responses and reporting as needed. Supervise Pool Attendants to provide assistance to visitors and perform routine facility safety/maintenance tasks. Ability to sit, stand, walk, run, and lift up to 20 lbs is required. Work in outdoor, high-paced environment among crowds. Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, leadership skills, and mature and managed responses to conflict are essential. Use of phone and computer systems, radios, and safety equipment.
Candidates must be ages 18+. Clearances are required. FirstAid/CPR training required and available upon hire. Previous experience or education in public safety, security, emergency services, education, social work, facility management or other related fields preferred.
Part-time seasonal flexible shifts available seven days a week between 12pm and 8pm. 15 – 30 hours per week. Availability is required for a min of one summer holiday. Free Lititz recCenter employee membership benefit.
Lititz Springs Pool – Lifeguards
Supervise safe use of outdoor aquatic facilities at Lititz Springs Pool. Monitor pools (shallow and deep water) and splash pad activity. Interact with pool visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Educate, inform, and enforce safety guidelines. Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members. Guard-stand and roaming duties with rotations throughout the facility in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions. Ability to sit, stand, walk, run, and perform all aspects of water rescue and FirstAid response.
Candidates must be ages 15+ with current lifeguard certification. Certification training is available at Lititz recCenter. Part-time seasonal flexible schedules 12pm to 8 pm seven days per week. Avg 15-25 hours per week. Additional shifts available at Lititz recCenter indoor pools. Paid training and staff meetings as required. Min of one summer holiday shift required.
